This past weekend, Summit Motorsports Park presented the 38th Annual Mr. Gasket Co. Banquet of Champions and Awards. We honored the winners of the Mr. Gasket $50,000 Super Series, the largest and most prestigious cash points fund in sportsman racing. The series included classes such as: Mallory Super Pro, Hays Pro and ACCEL Sportsman, the races being hosted at the spectacular Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Racing action like this is extremely competitive and makes for some of the most exciting spectacles in motorsports. We'd like to take the time to congratulate all of the drivers for participating in a great 2011 season and we hope to see even more of you in 2012.
The Super Pro Class is brought to you by Mallory Ignition, manufactures of the industry's most innovative and stable elite racing ignition systems. Winning the points and taking home the grand prize of $10,000 was Chris Bear.
Hays Clutches & Flywheels presented the Pro Class, won by Brian Cireddu who also took home a cool ten grand. The ACCEL Sportsman Class throne was claimed by Randy Biddle Jr.
Summit Motorsports Park is helping to launch the next generation of racers with a Junior Dragster division. We're excited to see these young drivers continue to make names at the track. Congratulations to the winners of the Junior Dragster point standings including Stephen Crowell in the Novice class, Zackary Manuel in Intermediate and Matthew Dadas in the Advanced class.
We also want to congratulate Edward James for winning the Super Bike points standings in 2011 and Bob Kosanka for winning the Sportsman of the Year award.
Stay tuned for more updates about these talented racing teams including photos and interviews.
